Is the newer model a direct swap?
It is the model Hoshizaki lists as the successor, so it does the same job at a comparable ice output. Footprint, electrical supply and water connections can still differ between generations - call us with your install and we will check it against the new unit before you order.
Can I still buy this one?
Only while our remaining stock lasts. Once it is gone it is not restocked, and parts for a retired model get scarcer and more expensive from that point on.
What happens to my warranty and parts?
The newer model ships with a full factory warranty and a parts supply that is not winding down. That is the practical difference between the two, more than the ice output is.

The DCM-271BAH-OS is capable of producing approximately 257 lbs of cubelet nugget-style ice cubes per day. The built-in storage bin will hold up to 10 lbs of ice* at a time. This sanitary icemaker/dispenser features a user-friendly dispensing mechanism that allows easy to chew, cubelet ice to be dispensed with an LED remote sensor for hands-free operation with opaque containers. This model features Advanced CleanCycle24™ – every 24 hrs, it performs a 15 min purge to clean itself and it is protected by H-GUARD Plus Antimicrobial Agent. The sanitary dispenser design keeps ice fully contained until it is needed, minimizing the opportunity for cross-contamination and keeping your ice clean. Keep your kitchen running smoothly with this cubelet ice and water dispenser. Stand not included.
