Is the newer model a direct swap?
It is the model Hoshizaki lists as the successor, so it does the same job at a comparable ice output. Footprint, electrical supply and water connections can still differ between generations - call us with your install and we will check it against the new unit before you order.
Can I still buy this one?
Only while our remaining stock lasts. Once it is gone it is not restocked, and parts for a retired model get scarcer and more expensive from that point on.
What happens to my warranty and parts?
The newer model ships with a full factory warranty and a parts supply that is not winding down. That is the practical difference between the two, more than the ice output is.

This Undercounter Air-cooled, Self Contained, Built in Storage Bin icemaker stores up to 53 lbs of ice*, which makes it ideal for small bars, hotel lobbies, and office break rooms. It features the CycleSaver™ design and includes the EverCheck™ alert system making the unit simple to maintain. The KM-115BAJ requires a Single phase, 115v/60/1, 6.5 ft cord with NEMA 5-15 plug electrical connection. Icemaker with built in storage. ENERGY STAR® qualified.
