2020 Stem Scholarship Award Winner

Cindy Zheng graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School as a 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholar, National Merit Scholar, and National AP Scholar. Throughout her high school career, she devoted herself to her diverse set of interests. Cindy served as President of the BRMHS Beta Club, coordinating volunteering opportunities, and placed 1st in Math at the 2019 National Convention. As an Executive Board member for the BRMHS Mu Alpha Theta, She worked to bring her love for mathematics to fellow students. Cindy also served leading positions in her school’s Science Bowl, STEM Club, and Chinese Club. Her foray into athletics led to her becoming varsity golf captain and developing a love for the sport. In her free time, Cindy studies Classical Chinese dance, having performed at various cultural events in Louisiana. Cindy plans to attend Brown University to major in Applied Math. She is excited to see what the future holds for the integration of healthcare and mathematics.
