Is the newer model a direct swap?
It is the model Hoshizaki lists as the successor, so it does the same job at a comparable ice output. Footprint, electrical supply and water connections can still differ between generations - call us with your install and we will check it against the new unit before you order.
Can I still buy this one?
Only while our remaining stock lasts. Once it is gone it is not restocked, and parts for a retired model get scarcer and more expensive from that point on.
What happens to my warranty and parts?
The newer model ships with a full factory warranty and a parts supply that is not winding down. That is the practical difference between the two, more than the ice output is.

Its ice on beverage design makes it ideal for use in cafeterias, restaurants, and other foodservice applications. This Remote-cooled, Serenity Series ice maker features a CycleSaver™ design and includes the EverCheck™ alert system making the unit energy efficient and simple to maintain. The KMS-1122MLH requires a Triple phase, 115v/60/3 *Voltage supply for the KMS Ice Maker is supplied from the SRK Remote Condenser electrical connection that is hard-wired at the installation site. Remote condenser sold separately. Compatible bins & dispensers, sold separately: Beverage Dispensers. Compatible remote condensers: SRK-12H, SRK-12H3.
