How to Evaluate ENERGY STAR Hoshizaki Ice Machines
Energy and water efficiency can materially affect the operating cost of a commercial ice system, but certification and performance are model-specific. Do not assume every machine in a brand or series has the same rating.
Verify the exact model
Use the current manufacturer specification sheet and the official ENERGY STAR product listing for the complete model number. Confirm the ice type, harvest rate, condenser configuration, voltage, and test conditions before comparing machines.
Compare the complete operating picture
Review rated energy and potable-water use along with daily production, bin or dispenser capacity, condenser-water requirements where applicable, filtration, and expected peak demand. An efficient machine that is undersized or poorly matched to the application can still be a costly choice.
