2025 Supporting STEM Scholarship Recipient

Recipient: Kevin Doubler

When this award was announced in July 2025, Kevin had graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and planned to attend Purdue University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical and astronautical engineering.

Kevin was a valedictorian nominee, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a recipient of honors including the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, the Governor Mike DeWine Merit Award, and the Midwest Regional Rowing Association All-Athlete Award. He also completed his school’s Health Sciences Honors Program.

After recovering from a season-ending injury, Kevin helped his crew team win a Scholastic Rowing Association national championship in the JV8+ event. In the classroom, he led teams on two NASA-sponsored capstone projects with scientists at NASA Glenn Research Center, working on lunar-wheel and jet-engine acoustic-liner designs.

Kevin also participated in the Labre Ministry, the St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry, mission trips, a family food drive, a Latin grade-school program, and peer tutoring.

At the time of the award, he planned to focus on sustainable air travel and practical engineering challenges at Purdue.
